All API products are manufactured in our own facilities located at 500 East Industrial Road, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
Armstrong Safety Treads:
API ribbed and solid abrasive safety stair treads meet or exceed all industry standards.
Materials:
API safety stair treads are manufactured using the finest raw materials available to the industry. The extruded base container is heat treated 6063-T5 aluminum alloy. The abrasive filler material is aluminum oxide (al2o3) bonded by 100% solids epoxy. The abrasive fill is machine impacted into the aluminum base container during the processing to provide maximum filler density and bonding.
Length & Availabilty:
API safety treads are cut to any specified length up to 24 lineal feet. When specifying length, allow 6" overall clearance for poured and precast applications; allow 1/8" overall clearance for steel pan cement filled stairs. Most types are available for immediate shipment.
Custom Applications:
API custom applications available upon request include radius, mitered and notched treads. Special finishes available are anodize, powder coat and bituminous paint. Protective tape can also be applied to the tread surface providing protection during installation.
